MORNING SUMMIT (moderated by David Jakes) Social, Professional and Academic Networking: Ready for School?

DESCRIPTION: What does it look like in your school or district? Is social networking used for educating students? Supporting teachers? For communication with the greater school community? Is it forbidden? What are the risks and the benefits? Come discuss ways of saying YES to powerful new technologies without sacrificing safety or security.

AFTERNOON SUMMIT (moderated by Jon Orech and Ben Grey) Preparing the Next Generation   

DESCRIPTION: The job base has eroded, the economy remains in crisis and many schools are at a loss about how to prepare a new generation of students for a world that is changing at astronomical speed. How are you keeping the focus on student success and learning? How are you meeting the needs of ALL students in your school or district? And what role does technology play in it all?
