2012 Choose Ohio First Scholarship Application
For the 2012-2013 Academic Year

Purpose of the scholarship: Ashland University has been awarded a grant from the State of Ohio to give Choose Ohio First (COF) Scholarships to outstanding incoming students with interests in bioscience related areas. These scholarships will support students who plan to pursue careers that apply biological knowledge to medical and agricultural areas, either through continued education in graduate schools, health related professional schools or through direct employment in industry after completion of the Bachelors Degree.

Amount of award: Ranging in value from $4000-$4700 per year

Application Deadline: Application review will begin March 1st and continue until all scholarships are awarded.

Requirements of student recipient:
1. Minimum requirements to receive award:
a. ACT 27 or greater
b. High school GPA 3.5 or greater

2. Must maintain a major in Biochemistry, Biology, Environmental Science or Toxicology.

3. Must be a permanent resident of the State of Ohio prior to application.

4. Minimum GPA to maintain scholarship:
a. End of 1st year – 3.0
b. End of 2nd and 3rd year – 3.25
