University of Chicago Doctoral Graduate Survey

Greetings.

Congratulations on earning your PhD at the University of Chicago, and thank you for completing the Survey of Earned Doctorates. We are eager to learn more about your experience during your program, and your current situation and career plans.

We ask that you take about 15 to 20 minutes to respond to this University of Chicago questionnaire. Your responses will confidential, and will be used in the aggregate as we consider how to strengthen and improve our programs for doctoral students.

Also, the University will, after removing all personal identifiers, share these data with a group of leading research universities as part of an on-going study of graduate education in the United States, and we will in turn receive peer data on the questions related to your experience in the program, which will allow us to see where we are relative to other comparable institutions. Again, your responses will be treated in a strictly confidential manner. Any findings based on this survey will be reported in a manner that does not identify individuals.
