Application Instructions

The objectives of the DIA "Measuring Impact in Patient Centered Drug Development" conference are to:
1.  Describe how to develop and use metrics to assess implementation, quality, and impact of patient engagement
2.  Identify objectives of patient, industry, and regulatory stakeholders for patient engagement and their influence on the selection of measures of engagement effectiveness
3.  Describe a framework for patient engagement metrics in the medical products lifecycle and how to assess the usefulness/fit for purpose of current and emerging approaches and measures
4.  Assimilate lessons learned by early adopters in order to anticipate potential challenges and optimize measurement of patient engagement impact

The program will be held October 2-3, 2018 (Tuesday-Wednesday) at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel & Conference Center in Bethesda, MD.

Scholarship Types Available:
Full Scholarship:
Round trip coach air or train fare; two nights at conference hotel (room + tax); 3 days per diem for miscellaneous travel expense; registration fee for conference waived.
Registration Fees Only:
Complimentary registration fees for conference and 2 days per diem for miscellaneous commuting expense may be offered to selected applicants within the local area of the conference venue.

To qualify for this scholarship, you must
  • represent a 501(c)(3) organization based in the United States or registered charity in Canada that serves constituents with major and/or rare diseases;
  • serve in a leadership staff or volunteer role with the executive, programmatic, policy, or advocacy responsibility; and,
  • be familiar with activities related to medical product development or therapeutic access.
