A number of outstanding core facilities have been set-up here at UTHSCSA for studying the structures, mechanisms, and functions of biological macromolecules.  Technologies offered by these cores include X-ray crystallography, Biomolecular NMR, Analytical Ultracentrifugation, Surface Plasmon Resonance, Light Scattering and Mass Spectrometry.   While these advanced technologies are essential to the ongoing research of numerous laboratories, it has become clear that a major barrier to broader use of these facilities hinges on the production of proteins of the required homogeneity in sufficient quantity.  To address this need, the Biochemistry Department is developing plans for a protein production and purification facility.

This survey will take only 1-2 minutes to complete.  The responses will be analyzed in aggregate, and no individuals will be identified in the reporting of these results.
